other than mangroves...


what other plant species can i grow out of a salt water tank?

Hi

If I understand your question correctly, the foremost answer would be tropical seagrasses.

Thalassia spp., Enhalus spp., and Halophila spp. are among other suitable candidates for employment in nutrient-scrubbing (as well as refugium-like) modules for a reef system.

i found that i have this one attached to one of the new live rocks i just got this week.



but i was looking for more of a flowering plant that can grow above water, most of the others you mentioned are sub-surface plants, expect for the halophilia, but i'm not into growing rice!
but if you happen to know of any others, please post again.
