My lab would only care about the fish tank if there was a jar of tartar sauce and a lemon wedge there waiting for him! My Jack Russell on the other hand will sit on the chair infront of the tank moving her head back and forth watching the fish. I can never get a pic though she usually runs when she sees the camera.

My fat cat doesnt do anything with my tank......until I tell someone who asks, "does your cat ever bother your tank?" then I reply, "No never, fat cat is so good." Then the little poophead will be trying to Arial tripple flip dive into the tank as though he heard me talking about him today.
I mean it this is really what happens. Aside from the tripple flip. hehe..

we have a manx cat that sits NON-stop in front of the tank. Doesn't move much....just watches until he falls asleep.
But when I'm doing water changes...he leads the way. he's watched me do them enough that he knows when I'm gonna go get the shop-vac...or water. And as soon as I start to turn away from the tank, he starts heading to whatever I was gonna go get. It's wierd...like he was a reefer in a previous life! hahah

My cats love to watch the fish and try to catch them, they sit on the glass cover. My dogs also watch but not as much as the cats, they are too lazy (smile)!
