OT: Fish only setup

What is a good set up for a 55 gallon fish only tank?

I plan to use it for quarantine/hospital tank & need to be able to dose copper. Maybe add agressive fish later.

Equipment:

Any special lighting? can I get away with a petsmart-style hood with bulbs?
Filtering: Sump? Skimmer? fluval? bioballs?
substrate: Aquarium gravel? any benefit to using aragonite?
airation: do I need an airstone? A little treasure chest that opens and closes with bubbles?
Additives?
Cycling? any benefit to cycling with live rock then remove it before dosing with copper?

Any good FO sites where I should be asking these questions?

It raelly does not matter with a fish only setup.
Filtering: Sump? Skimmer? fluval? bioballs?
I would use skimmer/wet dry
substrate: Aquarium gravel? any benefit to using aragonite?
Yes-It helps stabalize PH.
airation: do I need an airstone? A little treasure chest that opens and closes with bubbles?
No air stone needed, will just cause salt creep
Additives?
None

Never remove your live from from your main display, and never dose copper to your main tank.

Any good FO sites where I should be asking these questions?
