Ordering fish online
I am wondering what good places there are to order fish as well as corals online. I have bought my last few fish from the same fish store and they seem to live about 30 days then die. I am getting really bumbed in the hobby now. I would really like to add some new things and money isn't going on a tree so I really need everything I buy to do well and not just die in 30 days. Or should I talk to the guy I have been buying from and see if there is anything he has done different in the last few months.

Do you QT your livestock and treat them before putting in your main?? Hev you tested the water from where you get the livestick and compare to yours??? Do you have an acclimation process for new livestock???

I found, sad to say that until my tank really became mature, Like 9 months, I killed a lot of fish. How old is your tank?

liveaquaria is by far the best company ive dealt with, at least online. its part of fosters and smith. they've replaced everything they should have, talked to me and gave me more advice than any of my LFSs have

I would agree. I've ordered about 300 fish from them (although 200 were a FW schooling fish for a large FW planted tank) and only had two shipping fatalities and/or deaths related to new fish coming in, from them. I also use a couple other vendors for harder to find critters, but I have had much worse luck with them and they don't have to 14 day arrive alive, stay alive deal

saltwaterfish is usually ok, but if you have a loss they expect you to ship it back to them to get a replacement . which i geuss makes sense but sometimes thats not possible ( sea cucumbers don't hold up well once dead). and even after deciding to give me the credit they never sent me the coupon code and didnt respond to my emails. liveaquaria hasn't made me send anything back yet (recieved 2 damsels and one fireshrimp DOA. ) but out of about 15 deliveries 3 dead is pretty good.

I have heard alot of good things about liveaquaria as well as marinedepot. Keep in mind you get what you pay for. There are cheaper places to deal with but what you get in lower prices affects quality and customer service. I have had good experiences with my lfs's. How about some details on your system such as age, test parameters, husbandry habits. Need to rule out issues within the system.

i ordered from marinedepotlive a little while ago.
got four astraea snails DOA. sent them email, got credit no questions asked.
just received my order from liveaquaria today, and everything is alive and kicking (floating and dripping right now)
i'd recommend both these companies.

Try www.bluezooaquatics.com and let us know what you think!
Seriously, though, I'm considering using them on my next order, as they'll work with you to pick out what you want, wait until everything shows up, then ship it out. I plan on getting a few unusual things, and I want it to come in only one shipment. One thing that stands out with them is that they have an online price-match gaurantee. Their website may not have everything you'd want, but send them an email with a wishlist and I bet they won't disappoint.
