orange spots

I have had these hairy mushrooms for years. I noticed today they each have a flourescent orange spot on them. You can't see in the picture but even the little ones have it. Any ideas? I have never seen this before.

not sure, they may just be picking up different symbiots. though it is strange that they orange spots are in the same spots on the two shrooms i can see in the pic.

Aliens are abducting your corallimorphs, running heinous experiments on them and returning them to your tank before you miss them, The only problem is the residual ion stream from the flux capacitor that powers their intergalactic temporal probes causes a mutation and subsequent melding of the corallamorphs chlorophyl and mitrochondrial chains and thats why they glow in the dark

well I had hoped to inject a LITTLE humor in an otherwise serious question, but I was serious about the symbiotic relationship thing
