I heard deltec are great skimmers but a bit on the expensive side, ok really expensive. I have a sedra pump on my euroreef and it works great. the only problem I have is not with the pump but the air inlet into the propeller always gets cloged with calcium deposits.

No experience - but usually I just build beckett skimmers. Next project will be deltic clone with a sedra pump(s) to try out. These do pull out the gunk from the tank but uses more pumps. A feed pump (maybe "T" off the retun) and the one or two used for recirculation. The sedra w/needle wheel is needed along with that venturi adapter for making bubbles.

Besides being very expensive - copied a lot, works great from what I have see.

Checkout RC lots of write ups

No input on deltec skimmers. I have a euroreef with a sedra pump that works great. Also i get calcim build up in my air inlet to. Couldnt find what was wrong the first time it happened.

The Deltecs are a little on the expensive side, but I am so fed up with the berlin that I have. Looking for something that will work the way it should out of the box and these were recomended.
