Online purchasing??

hi there.. im just tooo addicted to saltwater now that i just wanna buy anything online.. around where i live in MA.. LFSs don't have too many interesting stuffs that i like.. so jealous with those in FL and CA
My favorites sites are:
Aquacon.com (30 shipping, lots of choices, some nice sale deals)
Saltwaterfish.com (20 shipping, limited selection)
Liveaquaria.com (35 shipping, kinda like the Diver's Den, but pretty pricey overall)
Vividaquariums.com (30 shipping, good price overall)
Ebay.com ( have had some small purchases there, mostly expensive shipping and small selection)
My most favorite is Vividaquariums.com but not sure about their reputation.. cheap shipping + cheap price+ lots of variety... kinda feel scary.. don't know if they would send me unhealthy or not-as-described species... Any experiences or suggestions are welcome!!!!!! Scared of Scammmmmmm

If you are interested in livestock this site has a good return policy.

I am not a person that buys livestock off the web, I like to see my fish before purchase.

Where do you live??

There may be some folks in your area that can direct you to a better LFS.

Welcome to TRT and Good luck

Doug

I am from Canada, and I have yet to find a company that ships to canada at a reasonable shipping rate. Usually the item purchased it 39.99-59.99 and shipping is 79.99-129.99

I like marinedepot.com. They don't carry livestock anymore, but I never did buy anything live other than my rock from the web.

I live in Lawrence, Massachusetts and i have some favorite LFS around here.. but they don't have much of new and exciting stuffs.. same old fishes and corals came in weeks after weeks! Buying Livestock online isnt a great idea.. but i think it's the best way to get rare and high demanded livestocks.

I voted for LA, but I've had good luck with Vivid as well.

Vivid's got a good reputation, but LA probably has the better customer service and maybe even a bit nicer livestock health (especially if you're talking their diver's den).

depends on their supplier, and some of my local shops don't get very good livestock. Those that do seem to charge quite a bit for it, and the availability is pretty spotty. I'd rather go online and know what I'm getting.

Aquacon sent me all dead stuff with horrible customer service.

I have never had problems with Saltwaterfish.com. I would put the nod though to Live Aquaria due to the Divers Den pictures that look like what you actually get along with their credit on problems. It is no questions asked and I was impressed.

Our LFS is horrible service wise and the owner is so smug you want to punch him.

sounds like the place i worked for- and i was the fish buyer! 50/50 shot on the health of the livestock and availability was dismal and the prices were shameful. i did what i could, but most of the time our hands are tied...

My choice was not there (BZA) but based on my experience with their Dry Goods service and their online reputation (i have never heard bad about them from people who i trust), i would vote for Liveaquaria.
