online order

I just made my first online order. a rather large one at that LOL
I needed a cleanup crew cause when I changed my tank over to the 100 gall I havent paid all that much attention and I have 1 snail in the big tank .. OOPPS so I ordered a 124.00 order from reeftopia. had to spend 120 for free shipping thats the main reason I havent ordered online was because of the shipping costs but I needed snails and a variety of them. here the turbo snails are 10 for 20 $ there its 100 for $40 go figure LOL
I will let everybody know how the order comes I will be in thursday morning.

O the typical stuff film algae on the glass a little hair algae that just doesnt seem to ever go away but has spread some .
I had a couple of emeralds and a sally light foot crab that always kept it under control but they died soon after I changed to the 100 and never replaced them so it hasnt had any control.

Well yea then get a good variety in there I have a black urchin
that chows on hair algae so I have none,I dont really get it as long as I use the ro/di water I have hermits ,snails, crabs.sally light foot, cucumbers to help in the fight

I tried a urchin some time ago and didnt have any luck it died a few days after being acclimated to the tank not sure whats going on there but I cant keep shrimp alive either soon after a add them to the tank (within just a few minutes the are dead even after 4+ hour acclimation times so I tried to just put them in nothing work so I gave up on them LOL
this is what I ordered.
6 emerald crabs
2 sally lightfoot crabs
24 blue leg hermits
100 turbo snails. ( splitting these with another local )
2 fighting conchs
24 nirite snails
12 nassarius snails
6 Ivory cerith snails
I think thats it off the top of my head
I use RO but I was feeding frozen foods for awhile and nver thought about it adding phosphates so they were really high for awhile and with nothing eating the algae it just grew and grew LOL hopefully this will take a good chunck out of it.

Yep that sounds like a good assortment I have bad luck with turbos they always die on me or some cant right themselves
and die so I only try the kind of snails that can get up if they fall
Edie can tell ya which type cause I never seem to remember,Im not sure why you cant keep shrimp,I dont have any in my reef cause my hawk fish ate them hes a pig.

I have no idea but IO can throw FW ghost shrimp in the tank and they will live for weeks but I put a SW shrimp in and its dead within 5 minutes or so. the LFS said copper will kill them like that but copper has never been used in any of my main tanks so thats not it. I have tried and tried to figure it out and never did figure anything out so I gave up and quite trying.

never thought about it LOL but that might be why I cant keep them.
well even if I wanted to I couldnt try again I got a big eye squirl fish and well if I add some no they will become lunch for him.
interesting though that would explain why nothing else in the tank is effected but them.
