Online Fish ordering question...
I am getting ready to place a significant order with SaltWaterfish.Com and I had a question (I posted an email with them, but I have not received a response yet).
How long will the livestock be okay in the unopened bags? I am going to have the order sent to work because I don't want the box sitting on my doorstep until I get home, but they're almost no way that I can cut out a few hours early next week to acclimate everything. I think FedEx does drop-offs here at around 10am, so it wouldn't be until 6pm until I could get home and start acclimating everyone.
Here's what I want to order:
Lawnmower Blenny
Pink Tip Haitian Anemone
30 Astrea Snails
20 Blue Leg Hermits
Coral Banded Shrimp
3 Emerald Crabs
Any help is always appreciated!!

They usually blow in pure O2 when they ship, and they seem to do well for long periods, but if you're going to be holding them in the bags that long, I'd request a Saturday delivery.

They don't offer Saturday delivery, at least not this week. I really want to get this ordered, but I don't know how else to get them here.

i have done this several times without any problems. it is temp control which is the big killer. as long as they stay at a good temp they supposedly will be good for 48 hrs.

I should be fine if that's the case. The temp here at work doesn't budge from 72 degrees year round. Cool!
I'm so excited! (if you can't tell already)

on second thought, I think I will be leaving for a looonnngg lunch on Tuesday when my order arrives. I sure they'll be fine otherwise, but I don't want to take the chance.

Residential delivery is on the bottom of customer service at FedEx and UPS. Can you have them deliver to your work. My delivery guys stop by first when they see live fish on their route at work and the fish are acclimatizing by 10:00 am including drive time home.

I have also ordered from Saltwaterfish.com and have had no problems at all. I usually have them hold my package at the FedEx facility (it is less than 5 minutes from work) and then I pick it up at lunch. I bring it back to work and then bring them home with me at quitting time. I acclimate when I get home and everything I have ordered is doing great! Good luck!

I have purchased all of my live stock from the net and had it overnighted. Since I work in the field out in the middle of BFE there is no hope of haveing it come to my work site(since our locations only address is a GPS position). I left a note for the Fed-Ex guy or gal to put the box under the porch in the shade. The temp in the box when I opened it was 76. No loss-o-life.
