G'morning everyone!

Well, the move is getting closer and closer... and althought we spent a wonderful yesterday hanging out with all our KC reef friends, we also started the slow process of moving our tank. One of our oldest friends here has an online business (shameless plug for Midwest Reefs), and volunteered to come over, bag up all the corals we're planning to take, and hold them for us until we have our new tank up and ready for them. And then he will repack them and have them ready for a family member to check as baggage when they fly down.

This is one amazing guy - talk about a lot of work in the name of friendship!

In any case, the water level in the 135 is soooo low that we had to turn off the Gen-X. Man, the house is quiet now. We moved the few remaining corals (that we're going to sell or give away) to the 29g, and will be completing the breakdown in a few days. It's just so weird.

And really sad. It's finally sinking in that we're really leaving "home." I was up all night thinking about the reef, and how much it has brought us. I'll only be reefless for a few weeks (we've already bought a setup in Orlando), but still.

Anyway, I'm going to go look at the few fish I have left before they too go to their new homes.

Sigh.
Have a good day everyone,
Danielle

Good Morning, TRT!

*onday already...sigh. Ah well, not so bad of a *onday today, kids are out of school so I got to sleep in a little, we're going to an M's game tonight and even though they'll prolly lose to the Yanks -the M's suck right now! - at least we'll have a fun family outing. Doesn't even matter if it rains, which is in the forecast, as it's kinda fun anyway to see the stadium "roof" trundle open or close.

Hope you all have a good start to the week!

Perry, we need to see yer plans!

Danielle, I slept in a friends home this weekend in Raleigh, I could nto get accostomed to how QUIET the house was, and this is in a home with a system in the house...

ROAD TRIP REPORT:

Bimmer was awesome this weekend. I DID get to drop by Chad's shop (Reef Science) and did my part to make sure that the import of coral to the SE continues as a success, at least through this route, the corals are not so cherry-picked by the West Coast guys (notice how bad the East coast supply is for unusual corals? Not to mention any names, but if you're not getting stuff through your own connections, the major importers just are not sending stuff East in th US, thank Heaven for folks like Chad...) Jeeze, I am having to find places for specimens in locations that I though were already full to the brim, I guess this supports the idea that the limit to the number of coral specimens is equal to the limit on your VISA Account...

Picked up some sweet Acroporids, an Echinopora, a second (this one is HUGE) blue Linckia levegata and a little (about 4") Linckia multiflora with little purple tips on its rays, very nice! A good trip for me, stopped by Chris Kohly's and picked up my mysiids, but I hate it that Geoff has moved, he was a regular stop on my trips to Raleigh. I hope he enjoys these next few months in Europe!

Heya Tom,

I will send over our travel plans when we firm them up. Basically I have the choice of hearing my future chain smoking mother in law rant and rave about an even numbered mailbox on the odd numbered side of the street for five hours or come check out your M3 and go for a nice dinner.
