I think that Doug's luck has rubbed off...

I took the puter down after posting to start this thread *onday morning and went to work, when I came home *onday evening, the puter wouldn't boot up, turned out that I lost my hard drive, now I'm looking for some type of recovery software to pull data from the old hard drive ('cuz I didn't have my bookmarks backed up, over 6k of bookmarks for marine aquaria sites, marine sience sites, etc) that will be difficult to recover otherwise. I am now running after installing windows 2000 professional and AOL again (uggghhhh...) on an old 8.2 GB Maxtor hard drive...

slowly installing all the programs I need...

better believe I'll be backing up from now on...

Take your old hard drive and run it as a slave to the one that is working, If the information is still there you will be able to recover it that way.

Hello Tom, come by and see me, and bring your weed eater, my 340 is busting at the seems LOL

And get adware removal software. That stuff is as vital as virus protection programs.
