*orning all
Well, it finally came, my last midnite shift ! (this morning) Well, ,actually the last one in this string/week's worth of 'em, two more weeks and i start them all over again (Midnites-Days-Afternoons= a "week" of each , then repeat... been this way for close to 29-30 yrs without fail ) Notice i said "week",, that only means i have 5 of each, not exactly Mon-Fri. Each 5th week my start day goes backwards one day(this is so the 4 sets of shiftworkers all fit in the schedule ,ie: covers the day(s) off) So my "weekend" sometimes includes a real Sat/Sun mebbe only a few weeks during the year . Currently,my Sat/Sun=weekend is Tues/Weds, and in a few weeks it'll go back a day to beMon/Tues.

Now that this long ,boring stuff is outa the way, (dunno why i felt i had to explain my crazy shiftwork schedule to all of youz folks) i can get back to the norm of a *ornin' thread.
As i said, i finished up midders this *orning, and i consider today as a full day off(since i have pretty much the entire day free now)and with my next 2 days off, I/we call this my long "weekend"

Dunno what i'm gonna do tho, but with prob seasonally normal temps outside, but kinda chilly in my mind (50's) with NO sun(yet?) i don't intend to spend much of it outdoors ,unless/untill the sun comes out a lil more so at least i have that to make the day seem more enjoyable.

Got a mental list of chores/projects to knock out, and some will get done ,probably if /when the sun comes shining thru .

Sorry for the long 'planation of what shiftwork has turned my days off into the last 30 yrs, quess i needed to inform or spill my guts to anyone bored enuf to read it LOL.

Hope everyone has a great day today!

Jeff - it's great to read about your schedule because the mine doesn't seem so bad. Of course, I have no idea how you know what day it is except for looking at this thread every day.

Good *undane afternoon folks - Yom Kippur is the highest Jewish holiday, it's a day of atonement following Rosh Hashanah - today many Jewish folks are off, it's a fasting day for many and a day to be in the Temple all day. I wish all our Jewish friends "Tsom Kal" or an "easy fast" - I'm Christian but have many Jewish friends and my first husband was Jewish.

George, we're supposed to get a cold front tonight too, but not "cold" just cooler - it's 92 right now so cooler is a good thing! Ray, glad you will have a calmer week!

Have a great day all
HHC

So do I, Vinnie. So do I. Sadly, I didn't have a trip to the beach this year.
