Okay...........one more stupid question

I have these little white things, that the only way i can describe them is that they look like little white "pineapples" growing on my live rock.................

I am trying to find my camera so i can take a pic of them and post them.

I think I have the exact same thing as that. Are thet almost transparent and spread like crazy. They look to me like harmless filter feeders. They just mount themselves to anything, and they look like they have roots at the base. I don't know what they are though.

Yeah, I never thought of it, but mine look like pineapples too. They tend to grow in the shade, as they are either uner my powerheads or in the sump.

Well, I don't know what they are, but I think they are harmless filter feeders. Someone else that knows more about hitchhikers should know. I think since my rock is not in the tank for now, that the excess nutrients are harboring them. Once my nutrient export lowers, they will probalbly disappear or decline.

BTW, this is not a stupid question. You should ask about anything that you aren't sure of. No one here is going to belittle any of your questions or make you feel like any question is a dumb one.
