Ok, want to try Purigen, but..

Ok, I got some purigen and want to try it out but I need to find out if it's ok to use with stresscoat. I dont use stresscoat much at all, I just add a little to water my distilled water when its mixing. Not sure if its amine based or what? Anyone know. I dont want to try this and end up with some highly toxic mess.

Nope to using with Stress Coat!as per the container instructions:
"Caution:some slime coat products may permanently foul Purigen and render regeneration difficult." better safe than sorry, i use the cheapest dechlor to dechlor the Purigen after recharge,,,no need for slime coating, only dechlor,,,,HTH

personally i would not use streescoat on a marine tank. i have tried purigen and prefer carbon. i know for a fact carbon removes impurities/ inbalances, i dont know for a fact what purigen is doing...
