ok, frag questions

I was at a lfs today that I don't really care for (was treated poorly during my last visit in october, this was my first time back since). They have frags for $15 that I am interested in... a GSP and a zoo, both about golf ball size, and a sad looking xenia with 4 polyps that I didn't think was worth $15. They also had what I assume was trumpet coral with I think 3 heads, also $15.

My specs: 38g tank with a 24" actinic and a 36" standard flourescent.
Can I successfully keep any of those frags? I can have them 5" from the lights.

I would say yes. If your Parameters are reasonably in check.

It amazes me to see what the prices are for coral in other states. Here in CA at my lfs, they have a softy frag tank, and everything in it is $6.00. Now most of the time they just have some lame color mushrooms and zoos, but I have personally picked out cun coral (4 heads), Candy coral (1 head), Ricordeas, and several zoos with over 6 heads.

Probably Jess They get shipped longer than that. Just make sure they are warm enough (stable temp) while your are working. When I ordered Frags online I had them shipped to work and kept them with me all day.

so when I get home I float the bags like I do with fish. Will it be ok to add a cup of water every 15 minutes for 45 minutes and then remove them from the bag and place them in the tank? Just wondering if that will be an ok acclimation for GSP and zoos...
