Odd problem hatching BBS
Got an odd question, hopefully someone has a good idea or has seen this before...
I'm hatching brine shrimp eggs and the past few batches I've done end up having a red (cherry soda) color to the mix. The second batch that I did that turned out like this I went ahead and filtered the water thru my net and there were almost no living BBS.
I've been doing this for a months and never had a problem...until now. Could the eggs be bad? They are kept in a closed, refrigerated container. I've used two different containers. Waited my normal 48 hours.
Just puzzled, maybe this is still OK, but it's really cherry colored, not the orange or brown-ish color I've typically gotten.
thanks,
Chris
