also mine is rated for a 200g aquarium for example. Not 200g of water, 80lbs of lr, 80 lbs of ls, and fish/corals. So thats why over doing it on the skimmer is a must. Would you really put a seaclone on a 100g tank? thats what the biggest seaclone is rated for. I dont think so. I wouldnt even put it on a 50g. Now we have it on a 29g pod at work and it does a great job.

I have a Octopus NW-200on my 75. Works great!!! I did the gate valve mod this weekend. DO NOT BUY FROM MARINESOLUTIONSINC.COM!!!! There $30 cheaper but have horrible service!!!
Do the gate valve mod if you get one. The standard riser that comes with it is no good and is LOUD!
Hey Ion, Why not get the NW-200 instead of the G2 there basically the same skimmer?

You install a gate valve where the water ejects from the skimmer and allows you to fine-tune the water level. If you've ever NOT had this done, you'll appreciate it

I just went to asmskimmers.com to find their diy section about the gate valve mod and they've pretty much shut the site down. I checked on octopusskimmers.com and i didn't find that section there...any one else have a link to that gate valve mod?
