i Have one ocellaris curently, but used to have two and always wanted them to breed. They were about the same size so they never really estblished dominance and paired up. Neways i have the clownfishes book and theres a lot of good information in there, but f neone has any good links tips or advice that has breed them or knows about it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you only have one then chances are it's already a female. Either get another small one or trade the one you have now for an established pair. We have a TRT member (Gary G) that's successfully breeding clowns. If you do a search you will get some good info from his posts.

i'm hoping my Oscellaris pair will oblige me with a bunch of eggs soon. I had good luck pairing Ossies several times by getting a much smaller new one. My currant pair, Oscie and Harry, were introduced just recently. Oscie was nearly 2 3/4" and little Harry was a mere 3/4" baby. They are firmly attached to one another now and reside in a large colt coral. I hope they will soon be mature enough to breed. I also have a pair of Maroon clowns that I paired the same way, by pairing the established fish with a much, much smaller fish.

Rick,

No. They tend to name themselves. It's whatever sticks within a few days to weeks of their arrival. My maroon pair are

male: Wiggle

Royal Gramma: Kelsy
Scooter Blenny: Scooter
New foxface: Fawn (maybe)
6 chromis: (was the Magnificent 7) #7 disappeared

2 PJ cardinals: PJ-B (bold) and PJ-T (timid)
