Well first off, may I ask which product your dosing?

Also, are you testing at the same time everyday? You will see that pH fluctuates at various times of the day... or can.

I am using the Part 1 Calcium and Part 2 ph/alkalinity. I put it in ine a.m. before the lights come on. I usually test in the evening. Is the .2 fluctuation a big difference or is it ok?

It may or may not be a big deal. Are you measuring your Ca and Alk to ensure that you are dosing the appropriate amounts? I hope I'm not insulting you with these questions, I just need a little more info so I can post *hopefully* the correct answer

As far as the pH swings, it may be completely fine as long as it's not dropping .2 quickly. Mine fluctuates between 8.13 and 8.22 over the 24 hour period. It also drops on days that the house is closed up, likely due to the slight Co2 elevation from the lack of normal ventilation.
