Oceanic Sea Salt Mix - Yes Or No?

I have been hearing a lot about Oceanic sea salt mix and that it is better than other salt mixes out there. I would like to hear more feeback on this product and if it is worth the switch from Instant Ocean which is my current brand.

I have been told when using Oceanic, you no longer have to add magnesium and calcium. Is this true?

I use it now and my Ca is about 475 with weekly 10% water changes. I don't have anything but a few softies though and it is pretty much fish only.

This salt is always way less expensive at our LFS.

I used IO until they quit making 200 gallon buckets, then I switched to Oceanic after hearing the same things you did. I like it, but then I like IO also. It's a few dollars more than some of the other brands at my LFS.

I just started Oceanic last night. I was sick of my IO reading a CA of 260.

There is an article on RC that says that the Alk is low and inconsistent on the Oceanic.
