Oceanic Reef Tanks...
I'm trying to research this tank manufacturer (Oceanic)...does anyone know their web address? I've tried searching under Oceanic, but it's a cable company...
Anyone know about these? Are they good, bad, etc. Pls advise ASAP.

I just ordered one from Oceanic. A glass 155. They are supposed to be very good. They even have ready made ReefReady Tanks, All you add is water.
Have your sales person carefully explain how Oceanics extended warranty works. Roughly you have to pay an additional $500.00 for an Oceanic stand in orderto get a 5 year extended waranty. If you do not get an Oceanic stand, there is just a 90 day waranty. Don't let your sales persons tell you its a 15 year waranty. This was the old waranty program and is no longer in policy.

You can't go wrong with Oceanic tanks, they are prob the best premade tanks out there. If I was buying new, I don't know if I would buy Oceanic, I guess it depends on how rich I felt. The best deal is to watch the want adds and try to buy a used tank. HTH

135r
135RR 2 6ft VHO. Just bought a 175MH and plan on getting 2 more. Working on a D.I.Y canopy. 4in DSB 70 pounds of LR. Just got 30 more pounds from Gulf-View. Eco-system sump . Xenia, green stars, green button, metalic blue shroom, Colt, looks like 4 small bubble anemones (still not sure) and one unknown coral. Misc snails, hermits. Did my first frags of my corals. So far so good. 2 fire goby, coral beauty angel, tomato clown, clarkie, blue damsel, 2 female and one male cleaner shrimp. Probably forgetting a few things. Still a work in progress. Hope to get some more frags soon.

Ditto on the Oceanic tanks,,,well made stuff,
Same for checkin around for a used one,,,I picked up a 200g from a co-worker for a song($200) ,word is now Oceanic does not make this size in a "in stock" state now, and getting them to "custom " make one, i heard would cost over $1600 to build.
Have yet to get the tank up n running yet,but one day it'll happen,,,,,,i hope,,,my 75 is filled to the gills (pun intended) and need a bigger home for my stuff

Oceanic are very well built tanks. A friend of mine has a 200g (8ft x 2ft x 2ft) and it is absolutely beautiful.
They used to run these great ads with a gorilla trying to break their tanks by tossing them around a room.
