I purchased a 72 Gallon Bow Front AGA tank and then purchased the Black stand from oceanic. I liked the Oceanic stand better. It had a sleeker design which was acrylic on the front. The bow front AGA was planked wood which I thought was cheap looking. I am very happy with both things I bought. The Oceanic stand was sturdier also. The top is a solid peice rather than just a frame like AGA.

If Oceanic stands have a solid top, are there cut-outs to allow for the plumbing attached to the RR tank?

They do have a rectangular openings for the plumbing. It fits perfectly with my AGA tank.

I had a oceanic I think 60 gallon (dumped when my house got broken into, I was pleased about that some ___holes steal from my home and kill my fish) anyways upgraded to an allglass 125g with stand had it since 99, curious because of this thread how long is my tanks life? been moved three times filled and running twice, dry for about a year. Reef tanks both times

I was talking about the fit & finish of their tanks, not their stands.

well I like My stand and tank from oceanic, The top of the stand is solid and it hads cut outs for the RR tank, Mine did but the tank and stand was specail order from oceanic. I don't know if all the stands do. plus the stand have very good access doors cn put a big sump into it , i have had some in the past that the doors were small and hard to fit anything large into them.

I don't mind my AGA stand (Modern Oak series), but don't really care for their cheaper stands.

I must have an old oceanic, the tank has a solid surface frame, like a kitchen counter-top, never have to polish it, regular water cleans it up beautifully! The bottom is a 8ply pressed wood, its taken alot, and I mean alot of abuse, and its still strong...some of the finish, which matches the tank but is of differently quality, looks like some kinda paint finish. The glass is probably about 1/2 inch thick, its heavy, but I love it!
