Novice Needs Help with Mushroom Coral

OK, I just started to make a reef tank. It is a smaller (nano) 10 gallon tank with skimmer, biowheel filter, heater, LR (14lbs), LS (10lbs), and one little citrus goby plus two emerald crabs. I had just bought a piece of live rock that had two different types of mushroom coral about a week ago. Everything seemed to be going well. last night I notice that the biggest of the blue mushroon had shrevled up, as if it was night time. Along side of it I noticed a new little poylp that was under neithe it. It is now the following day and it still has not fully extended itself and the mouth is wide open. I am not sure if this is normal. If you guys have any advice on what to do that would be helpful for me being a novice.
Thanks in advanced.

My Mushrooms used to do that. You might want to change its location. Might not like the lighting situation where you currently have it.

Sorry, didn't mean to cut that one short. You may want to move it closer to the light if the rock is at the bottom of your tank or vice versa. Hope this helps.

Welcome to TRT!
On the mushrooms, what kind of light do you have now compared to what was at the LFS(local fish store), you might want to go either up or down with placement, based of which way the difference is, give the 'shrooms time to adjust,,,they oughta open up in time,,,
