Nova Extreme T5's

Hi, I am new to reefs and am setting up a 46 gallon bow front. I think I have made my mind up about getting the Nova xtreme lights 4x39watts. I know it doesn't add up to much, but will the intensity allow me to keep a decent reef? Thanks for all your input.

I am not familiar with the nova set...what type of ballast are you using? do the lights have individual reflectors?

wattage for T5's is a little different than MH lighting. YOu get more per watt with T5s....meaning more of the light is directed to the tank, where as will MH, they light up the entire room...

you should be ok with most corals....once you water chemisty stablizes you could always add more T5s ot the tank....you'll have more than enough room for a few more tubes...

The Ballast is built in. I also am confused on how many and what setup for my power heads? I was thinking two 300 gph would do.

Also not familiar with the Nova lights.

But can't really answer what type of flow/lighting you need until we know what kind of corals you want to keep in the tank.
