Not so stinky skimmate
why does my goop smell kinda good. its piney. kinda nice. Is this weird, thought it was to smell like a turd wrapped in burning hair.

1st off ...why are you smelling you skimate?
not exactly sure of the differant smells. the various microbes that can be in it do give off various smells,the mix of the algae and and the other things in it may keep everything a live for a while.so you do nto have the decaying odor..

thanks, im asking because it is almost like perfume smell, just worried that the wifes girl smells are in the air, which is where my tanks are. I got the last bedroom as a playroom . she gets ready right next door. Is air purification a ridiculous idea?

you can add Floss to the skimmer intake area to make sure things in the air are not sucked in..

I use Carbon to filter mine out before it reaches the skimmer.

yeah ill try both. i removed my carbon last week, ill put it back in. Floss in the venturi valve?
