not so smart :(
Last night I moved some rocks around in my tank, the largest one I just kind of scooted over, well this morning I went to feed them and my regal was missing, it never misses a feeding, well i got to looking around and apparently I really messed up and the large rock I scooted over she was between it and the one next to it laying and I caught her anal area between them and she like to beat herself to death trying to get out, you all think there is any hope for it or do ya think its just going to go down hill from here with it, it is coming out swimming for a few min at a time but then goes back and hides breathing really fast for 10 min between swims. here is a pic of my royal screwup.... it was flawless before this happend. it has no signs of ich from stress which really suprised me but man its tore up pretty bad. you think theres hope???

Wow! Sorry to hear that! Its hard to say if it will make it or not. There could be some internal damage. Poor thing!

I'm sorry to hear that - I don't have any advice or input for you either, but I can empathize with the mistake. Hope it gets better.

Just keep feeding it. If you have some garlic or selcon, I would soak the food in that. Keep that immune system healthy. Also make sure your water is clean. A few extra water changes can't hurt.

i dont think she will die. Just needs some time to heal. If you had a QT tank I would put her in there.

I think he's got a chance. Keep that water as pristine as possible!

I think there is a antibiaotic you can use in a QT tank.

I think there is a good chance that she will make it too, but a QT I would not do.

You could use MelaFix to help speed the recovery, do not use it in your main tank. Put fish in a hospital tank and add. No skimmer. Can take a few weeks but it is like Neosporin for fish, and is marine safe. Hope that helps!

I have some concerns that QT would stress this fish out more than it could handle. Catching it is not likely going to be easy.
