Ive got my tank in my living room and my big screen tv and stereo equipment is about 3 ft away. I don't blast it but I do enjoy a nice DVD full sound experience. I have not noticed any negative response from my fish, but my cat doesnt appreciate the noise. Of course, he doesn't like any of my music either and actually hides with Linkin Park etc. Just keep the bass to an even keel and watch for reactions.

I recently received as an early valentine gift an awesome surround sound system. I hooked it up and it sounds terrific. However, my reef tank is in the same room and I am wondering if anybody has had any experience with this? How much stress does this cause the fish if any? I love the system, but I love my reef more. Thanks for any input you can give.
