NO3 levels etc.

Question for the chemists:

I have NO3 levels which rise sometimes. NH3/4 are 0 NO2 is 0 also. I don't know how to fix this other than water change. (Which helps). I've added Cycle, but it doesn't help. NH3/4 doesn't rise first, so I'm suspecting another source.

75Gal Tank
All levels practically 0 or 0
Fish & Coral
-Wet/dry rotating wheel, skimmer, UV sterilizer

Just to add to the mix..... I have now killed 2 red clams. They live for 2 days and eat and filter and look happy, then in the morning they're open, and their dead. This doesn't co-inside with the NO2 spikes...

Unless your NO3 levels are very high (probably >50 or even >100), they are unlikely to be responsible for the acute nature of your animal's deaths. I would suggest that either something is eating them, they are otherwise not healthy, other tank conditions are askew, or you are doing something which harms them. More information is necessary to answer your question.
