no protein skimmer

I just got rid of my jebo 180 protein skimmer because it keeps over flowing it has happen four times so far. ANy ways I want to get a good one like the aquac remora or the cpr bak-pak 2r. I don't have enough money for either and won't for about a month. Any recomendations on how to keep my reef healthy and thriving till i can get a skimmer (Rember I am tired of cheap crap and want the best) I just don't want to lose what I have already invested.

Water changes, water changes, and water changes will keep your tank doing good and will benifit by adding all the trace elements back into the tank .

If your still confused, you could just try to do extra water changes.

My first one was an air pump and a 2 liter bottle... I got sick of water changes. It worked until I could sell my kidney for a better one. DIY is full of much better design solutions. Or you could go as mentioned above with the... um... water changes was it?
