Yeah I have heard there are some problems with LR and corals coming out of Fiji! I didn't think the problem was suppose to last very long!

Last I heard, CITES wasn't going to revisit this issue until the first of the year. The aquacultured stuff out of Fiji is still moving but the harvested stuff is not being imported at this time. Whatever's still circulating around out there is still there, but there is nothing new coming in since November 1.
It's too bad that the paperwork is stuck - from what I've read, they got it together at the Fiji end, although I'm not sure the legislation has been published yet in the Fiji Govt publication as it must be before it becomes "official", last report I saw was dated the 7th and it hadn't been published then, but the publication is produced every Friday - so it might have come out yesterday (today? which way does that pesky date line go?). Once the publication is made, it's in CITES hands.
I hope the folk in Fiji, whose livelihood is most affected by this, manage OK until the burocracy gets sorted out. For now they will have to seek other work to put food on the table. If no corals are shipping out, they will have to find other means of income.
It's all a big mess.

I live in Washington State and I have to drive 2.5 hours. And I live in the fastest growing best economic area in the state. Do not feel bad.
