No Instructions with ASM G-3 skimmer

I just recieved my new ASM G-3 skimmer in the mail today. It was recommended by my lfs, and I got a great deal online. My problem is that the directions included did not say how to run the thing. I realize that you just plug it in and let it run, but I have never used a skimmer so I am not sure about water level, outflow tube height, venturi tube, or anything else. I have emailed the retailer for directions or a manual, but I thought I would see if anyone has used this skimmer and could give me some tips on how to use it.

Thanks.

First run it in your bath tub with about 10" of water in the tub for about an hour with the riser tube as high as it can go. Then place the skimmer in your sump, place the riser tube so that it is just below the collection cup. Make sure that the venturi tube is attached to the pump (near the input of the pump. and then run that venturi tube up through the small eyelette on teh side of the skimmer where it is rooted to keep it from falling into the water. That is about it.

it helps remove the chemicals and sealants/oils used in manufacturing the skimmer. Doing this will help speed up the "break in" period. Tho and hour wont do much... run in overnight and youll have better results.

You can check out ASMskimmers.com... the have a forum area that has some good information about them. Obviously, you can always post specific questions as well....
