Yeah, First time I dosed vodka I had no idea what I was doing. Killed a lot of stuff. Dont be stupid like me, if your interested in it, do about a months worth of research before dosing one drop.

I would be cautious in using carbon dosing in an unskimmed system. I was under the impression that w/o a skimmer to remove bacteria, you would only be increasing the bioload.

Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky went hunting? Well anyway, Brasky decides he's gonna hunt down all four members of the Banana Splits. He stalks and kills every one of them with a machete. They all beg for their lives, except Fleagul.

I agree completly. I only dose a drop when I pull the sponge out, to let the bacteria get a jump start on the load. I usually put the drop directly in the sponge after I clean it, then place the sponge back in. (thats in my 2.5 gallon) In my 45 I dose .8ml every morning religously.
