nitrate
can anyone tell me if nitrate can form without first going from ammonia-trite-trate? and if it can does it do it that way if the nitrate comes from fish? if it doesnt come from the fish is it mostle likely that it comes form the live rock? ive had my tank for about 6 months and the water is perfctly clear and nitrite and ammonia have been zero but my nitrate isnt declining after water changes it stays right up from 15-20 ppm and i would like to have it under 10, ive only got 3 fish in a 55 gallon i would think it would be possible to keep this nitrate down but id like to hear what you guys have to say thanks..
