Are you sure it is cyano? Cyano is very easily syphoned out right where it grows.
I am pretty sure. It's red grows in sheets over gravel and is easily siphoned. I was referring to manual removal (ie. with hands).

I would definetly spend the money to get a good RO/DI system. Get a TDS meter if you cant get the system.
Honestly, I have no aspirations to keep anything harder that zoanthids for a good while. So this is more of I want to get the algae under control rather than I want perfect water quality.

As for the hair algae, I got a bunch of turbos and placed them on the algae, no more GHA! Let me know if you have any other thoughts and how its going for you.
Hopefully, the turbos will find enough to eat with GHA gone. I may pick up some more snails if this continues to be a problem for too much longer. It does seem the nitrates are starting to go away tested today and got ~10ppm.

Thanks again everyone for the advice!

Perfect water quality will help control algae.

What is the acronym? L.I.M.E........Limit Import Maximize Export.

Using ro/di water will eliminate some of the nutrients that you are adding at each water change and top-off. Then feeding properly, regular maintenance and skimming should handle the rest.
