This just in from the news wire:

Two disheveled persons, self described as "Reefers", are scheduled to arrive in South Florida after fleeing their homelands in homemade vessels resembling large aquarium tanks! One, who would only give her code name, "Tang", said conditions were so bad in her native land that she "just had to flee." It seems that she hadn't seen sunshine in so long that she packed up her shorts outfits and SPF 30 sunscreen and just fled toward the sun.
The other escapee seeking asylum, who identified himself only as Sir Reefalot, AKA Thomas, has pledged to remain in Florida until the ruling junta in his native land paints over a large water tower that now resembles a peach with vivid orange paint!
Each says they are "Refugia", obviously a corruption of the word "Refugee", and plan to apply for Florida citizenship, government grants, tour Disneyland and seek agents for book deals about their escape ordeals and exploits.

THIS JUST IN FROM THE NEWSWIRE:

Florida officials have rejected the applications for asylum of the two errant Refugia, T.D., AKA "Reefaroni" and Alice, AKA "Sunshine Tang". Background checks on the duo revealed membership in a weird cult called MACNAITES, who are reputed to spend countless hours meditating in front of illuminated glass icons containing bizarre creatures. The humming sound from these icons is reputed to mesmerize the viewer and alter both their conscious and subconscious mental states. Members allegedly spend most, if not all, of their financial resources in pursuit of increasing their glass icon's hyperkinetic powers.
Officials confirmed that both were deported to their home states.

heh heh heh... still recovering from the trip, Goby's comments on Reef Central (see Doug's link) pretty much sum it up, we CAN give you the inside scoop on things going on in the background. Film at 11 (tonite) I have to go BACK TO WORK AAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

(btw, DID YOU KNOW that Alice has a great tolerance for aguave products??? ;-), and NO, we did not see any of NASA's fish while we were there...)

Alice, AKA "Sunshine Tang" was last seen getting out of a green chevy S10 on the corner of Sunrise Blvd and A1A in Ft Lauderdale beach Monday about 12:30pm, The truck was driven by a very scruffy looking white male about 30 something! No contact with her has been made since.

Reefaroni was last seen Sunday driving on 95 north bound in a white F150 pickup with two acrylic tanks and stands in the bed of the truck.
