Newbie question...False percs

Hi everyone...Do false percs suffer if they are kept alone? I've only kept them in pairs in the past and they seem to really like the company of each other, but one of my percs recently had an accident and is no longer with us. Should I replace him or is my perc ok without a companion? I don't want to get another perc in fear that my existing one might beat him up. TIA

One Ocellaris will do fine but the pair relationship adds to the tank, IMHO. I lost one of my Okes after about a year...the survivor had become the dominant one and I made the mistake of adding another that was too close in size to her.....she harassed the newcomer unmercifully and it didn't make it.
Armed with better info, I added a very small one and the older Clown took to it like a new puppy. They've been a happy pair ever since.
I would recommend getting a new Ocellaris, much smaller than the other one and enjoy them.

Great! Thanks for the info. I was thinking that getting one of the same size would make the most sense, but if getting a smaller one is the way to go then great. My lfs just got a nice shipment of little false percs!
