Newbie-Featherdusters

One last question, for tonight anyway
Am seeing many (featherdusters?) on my rocks, they are really tiny, can hardly see them unless the lights hit them just right.
They go in and out of their tubes, just like the large FDs I've seen. Are these baby versions of the large ones, or something else? Will they grow up? How long?

They're are mostly like the miniaturized species of feather dusters. Some reef tanks simply have an amazing number of them. If they take a liking to your tank conditions, the population can really take off like mad. I really like them though and really don't harm anything and can be considered as a good sign of a thriving reef. Common miniature dusters is Bispira viola. Do they look similar to this, there are more pics of them on my homepage:

The ones that pretty much don't move and seem to have found a permanent place grow to about 3/4" to an inch. This is typically the ones that are on the substrate. The other ones that slowly creep around rocks/glass as they grow are usually smaller in diameter.
