newbie domino damsel question

hello i am new to saltwater fish, i just recently bought a blue devil damsel and a domino damsel. The two are acting fine they have quite the diffrent character from fresh water fish.

My question though is that my dommino damsel i notice it has 3 white dots on the top fin. I cant tell if its ick or if its probably where he got bit at the store, Or if its just that the very top part of the fin it turns to white instead of being black thank you.

Welcome to TRT ap2honda !
For now as long as the Fish is swimming and eating fine I wouldn't worry to much yet.

Can you tell us a bit about your set up ?

Welcome to TRT!!!

both of those fish are pretty bulletproof. not sure you want to be keeping either of those fish long term though. both of those fish will get EXTREMELY aggressive the longer they are in the tank.

not sure how long the tank has been setup, but you do not need damsels to cycle a tank. there are several better ways of cycling a tank now.

i did not use damsels to cyle the fish i find it sad to kill a fish. haha and well i waited patiently running the tank for a month before i introduce fish to it. So far i only have 2 damsel fish and one live rock. unfortunately there are no saltwater stores here so i have to travel 3 hours to go to one. i want to have clown fish and other fish in the tank so i guess im going to have to donate the damsels so they wont kill them??

one more question my live rock looks dirty like it is coverd up in dirt or algae looking film and its hiding the green and red colors is it possible to clean them or are live rocks suppose to be this way? and there is also a black color on it i dont know to much about liver rock eaither. I have also heard that live rock sometimes have hitch hikers this is so exciting.... when will i know if i do have hitchhikers?

thank you again guys
