New to the board and Building a reef tank.
Hello all. I'm new here but not new to keeping an aquarium. Sold my fish only tank when we moved and looking to put together a 75-125 gal. reef in the new house. Helped out some friends with reef tanks long ago but never had one myself. I was hoping to get some recommendations on lighting and filtration.
BTW, Ive attached a Pic of my old tank. It was a 130 gal. fish only that stood 7 ft tall. Not going to go that big this time. As you could imagine, it was a pain to clean.

What a nice set-up you had. With a tank that tall you gotta love magnets! Good luck with your reef plans...just let us know when you have a question!

Thank you for the compliments. Ya, magnet window cleaners and a 2' grabber arm were a must. Took about 3 hrs to clean and bleach once a Mo. We had just about every fish you could imagine over the 7 yrs we had the tank. When I sold it, it had: Queen and Imperator angel, Australian Harliquin Tusk, 2 Ocellaris Clowns, Clown trigger and three Green Cromis. Amazingly the guy who bought it came from Chicago to get it and only lost the harliquin in the move. That was over a year ago and he still has all the rest.
