New tank question

I went back to my LFS today to check on the tanks. i had a dilema on which on to get the all in one filtration unit or the one with all the plubming in the basement. I guess i am just gona with the all in one the filtration is just like the nano cube but just way bigger. i amjust gona swap out the Rio 1700 pump for something more realiable. The tank is a 60G for $779 and i saw the same one but its a 75G for $997 both of these have the stand and canopy with built in filtration.

When you get into 60 or 70G Acrylic tanks is there any heating problems are there really any needs for chillers my living temp is pretty normal 65 Degress. in my nano cube my temp is 77-79 with a jebo 100w heater at all times

OK I am a little confused, when you say "all the plumbing in the basement" do you mean that literally or are you refering to a typical reef tank setup with a sump tank in the stand under the tank?

Like I mentioned before, I would avoid the all in one setups, you are stuck with what they build in, The space is too small for a decent skimmer, you mentioned having to replace the rio powerhead already, YOu should able to get a Reef Ready tank, pickout a tank for a sump and a return pump with serious flow, for what the DAS style tank costs. This will give you a lot more flexibility in setting up your tank and accomadating the equipment needed to run a reef successfully

Yup, same advice as was given before. Suggestions are based on experiance. With the little skimmer that will come with the all in one, dont expect too much.
