new tank issue

I have a new tank going. Everything fine untill I see tiny white specks on the glass. They move haltingly.
What is it this time?

buy some and you will start a culture in your tank. Its crazy how some rocks come loaded with them, and others... well just dont have any.

This page has copepods on it. Does it look like anything you see here. This site's pretty good for getting identification of alot of things.

I'll need to get a microscope.
They are tiny.
I had a chestnut snail expelling clouds into the water a couple of weeks ago. Could it be snails.
If it is copepods, why am I happy about this?

The link you gave explained why copepods are beneficial.
Thank you. I hope that is what they are.

They could also be really small tiny tiny snails. I have them all over my tank, and at night they really come out. all over the sides of my glass, little white specks of them.
