New find!

I just went to take a look at my cleanup crews progress on the dead linkia and noticed someone new in my tank. A mollusk of some sort.. its about 1/2 long or so.. with a shell that is tapered with brown radial stripes. It looks like has a funnel or snout on the tip of it. Anyone care to try to identify him as friend or foe??

Hi!! It sure sounds like one I have in my tank but not quite as large. You might want to ask Dr. Ron Shimek at: http://www.reefcentral.com

Hey Johnny,

Just a bit more information here. I have these little bugs, for lack of a better term, that come off the rocks at night. They look a little like pill bugs, but i think they have a foot, not legs. Anyway, I have assumed these to be beneficial and have left them alone. After spotting that mollusk last night I kept an eye on him. I later found him on the glass, munching down one of these bugs. Upon closer inspection, he looks a lot like a large sized nassarius the way the snout protrudes.
