New bulbs - How much to adjust time
I got new bulbs today. How much should I cut back the lighting period? I will be out of town for a few days and don't want to just put the tank in the dark.

I've always been told to use 7 layers of screen and remove one a day.

I stayed with 10,000K bulbs 250w. I also put in 4 new 96w PC bulbs. I don't think I adjusted the timing at all last time.

I'm not real sure with metal halide... with my T5 I'm in the habit of swapping out one a month when it becomes time. That way it doesnt blast the coral all at once.
