Need opinions on this lighting purchase

It's IceCap, it's T5 and looks relatively inexpensive....I plan to add 2 250W halides ( probably 20K ) with these. The T5's will be for the 'dusk/dawn' effect. The kit comes with single reflectors, wiring, end caps and bulbs.

Will this be good enough over my 6' 125gallon tank? it's 24" deep and will be barebottom. I will have mostly sps.

That would be ok for dusk/dawn. Just stagger the bulbs to make up the 6'. As for the mh's 20k might need to check the par for sps. I think you would be happy w/10 or 12k

They do make longer bulbs too. Do you have 1 center brace or two?

You're right. 10K might be better. I like more blue so maybe making the outer t5's actinics and the inner two 15K's, along with two 10K 250 watters, I might be golden

one center brace. That's one reason I'm going with 2 halides. I thought of the longer bulbs but that kit only provides the 48 inchers.

Should be ok. You going DE or SE? Bill raves about the iwikasi 14k. Also check out crvz thread for t5 bulb choices.

I might go SE on this one because they have a more efficient spread than an DE, right? What would you go with?
