Need lighting help

I have a 55gal (36 x 24 x 28) tank thats been up and running for about 6 months now, and I've been seriously need to upgrade the lights. Been doing some looking and think I'm going with 2(or more) T5's and 2 MH's .. now the help i need with is what wattage i should go with and where the best (price & quality) place to get them. I would like to do both soft and hard corals.. and would like a clam also. Oh, the other problem I'm haveing is I cant hang lights (renting house), so im worring about heat =/ any sudjestions??

I would go with those Phoneix bulbs since you are over there - made in Japan. HQI's, 250w's. Do you have a hood? You'll need fans. Or if you can make a frame- like just two arms coming up from the floor and arching over to hold the lights- that would be simple and very nice looking. No heat issue. With the Phonenix bulbs, I would think that you will not need the Tt's for actinics - but that is always one taste's.
