Need help with MacroAlgae, please

I just received an order from IPSF and everything looks great! One thing that I'm not sure on. They substituted a dried food product that I ordered with a live macroalgae they call Tang Heaven Green. Will this stuff overrun my tank? I did not plan on putting caulerpa or any other macroalgae in my tank as I don't like how it seems to overrun everything. I do like the color and will put it in if someone can give some information on it or let me know where I can read up on it.

if you have anyhting that eats algae it may not last very long if it does start to grow to a point that you want some of it to go just harvest it and give it away to someone else..

Sharing is always nice

It sounds like a green variety of Oga, not sure ofthe species name , but the red isn't anywhere as prolific as some of the caulerpa species so over running the tank shouldn't be a problem

Thanks for the replies. It was kind of interesting, I'd been floating in my tank to equalize the temp so just observed it was green. I just put it in the tank and found that it is a large green sheet. (I know so very little about macroalgae, that it's embaressing at times

) They must grow it in flat pans or something. Attached is a photo, though not a great one.

The macro should be fine, but it may not make it until you get a fish that would eat it.
