Need help with ground probe
got my ground probe to gound my tank, it is the kind with the suction cup, my question is, do I put the probe in the sump or in the display tank? the instructions say either or but I like to know what TRT thinks is best. I like to put it in the sump so it is out of the way.
ideas?

I would put it in the sump... Keeps it out of sight. As long as the return pump is going, it will do it's job in the display from the sump. But keep in mind you lose the circuit to the display when the return pump is not running.

I keep mine in the box with all the other half finished projects.
If I ever get it done, the sump.

Ya,.... I agree with everyone else,.. the sump where most of the equiptment is,.. Salt water is a good conductor, if there's current leaking in the main tank it will travel down the water stream into the sump,.. plus it looks better down there.

I keep one in my display & sump & refugium. I've seen too many people as well as expensive corals get electricuted in other peoples tanks to risk not playing it as safe as possible. For the little expense they are I thought it was worth it. In my display I have it hanging by the overflow and it's not very noticable.
