I am a newbie and has a 55 gallon tank for 1 month. I got his brown polyps spreading to all live rocks. Are they bad? How to keep it under control?

It's green center with brown tentacles. Some get up to 1/2''-1" tall with the lights on. It spreads to all rocks, sticks on glass, pump, and pre-filter. Is there a way to control them?

Hard to tell but my guess would be a type of majano anemone. They come in a few different shapes and sizes, some are more colorful than others. I have seen the ones you have before and they spread like wildfire.

Jadinop, I think you are right. I believe it is a type of majano anemone. How do you get rid of them? I put a couple Peppermint shrimps in. Hope that would help.
