Thanks guys for starting this, I am sorry I did not see this sticky before I asked my question. I am really looking forward to starting my wifes nano, and this will give me a great place to document it

I think a tear down is a bit loose on the rules. We are doing the entire live rock purchase, cooking and the entire thing from scratch. All we are starting with is an in the box 28 gallon bowfront. That means three months before adding anything really since we have to sit on our hands.

Hopefully in the spirit of competition other entries will be an entire teardown and not just a tweaking.

The good Dr. (Mrs. soon) Phishnoob and I are of course not worried but just want to level the playing field for the other folks.

We will deliver an established anemone with a host clown and pretty coralline all over the back.

You all have been served.

I cant decide what to do for the contest. I have last years 10 gal which i can add DIY pc's that I got for free. I also have my 20L sump I could pull the baffles out of and use a a display again, and use the pc ballasts to drive t5's. Argh too many choices!!!

Well this is easy. You already have the tank and a sump.

Ours will be right smack in the middle of the living room. I have a feeling Dr. Phishnoob will be encouraging me to keep it tidy and moving along.

Hmm...I just got a clacium reactor and need somthing to hide it in. A cabinet for a 10 gallon tank would be just about the right size. I need a QT tank anyway. Maybe I'll be setting something up too. I'm thinking something ultra simple and energy efficient, with a goal of less than $100.
