Seriously - has anyone got any experience with these? I have been trying to do some research and plan on building one for my tank which consistently has a low pH because the tank is built into the wall. The room that the tank and sump sits in is fairly air tight and doesn't get enough turn over.
My only concern is that the degassing towers that I have seen use materials that seem like they would end up causing the same side effects as a
trickle filter.
I have an Aquacontroller on the tank so I get constant and accurate pH readings whenever I want. If I keep the utility room door open constantly, I can keep the pH almost 0.15 higher than if I have the door closed. I can't keep the door open all the time but I do have a way to cycle fresh air into the room. When I do this though I run into other problems - making the room to cold or making it to hot.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
